Chicken Pasta soup is a warm and scrumptious meal that can only be described as ‘complete’ – as it contains all food nutrients from carbohydrates to vitamins.
Your children will especially love the creamy, tasty texture provided by the infusion of milk. If you’re Vegetarian, not to worry, you can substitute the chicken in the Chicken pasta soup recipe for mushrooms.
Here’s what you’ll need to make this wonderful soup.
Ingredients
- 3 tbsps. of Dano powdered dissolved in water to make 1 cup of milk
- ¼ cup of flour
- ½ tsp. of salt
- ¼ cup of chopped onion
- 1 cup of chopped cabbage
- ¼ kg of chopped cooked chicken (boneless)
- 2 tbsps.of curry powder
- ¼ cup of butter
- 2 cups of chicken stock
- 1 carrot, diced
- 2 cups of pasta
- ½ tsp. of pepper
- 1 onion, diced
- ½ tsp. of salt
- 2 cups of chicken broth
- ½ tsp. of seasoning
Method
- Boil the chicken in a pot and set aside
- Melt butter in a large saucepan.
- Fry the onion, carrot and cabbage in the butter for 5 minutes under low heat.
- Add the chicken and cook for 5 minutes until cooked.
- Sprinkle with flour and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes until slightly brown.
- Add chicken broth and let boil.
- Season with salt and pepper and let it cook for another 10 minutes.
- Add milk and leave to boil, then add the pasta and leave until cooked.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
Your food is now ready to be served, free to add more vegetables if you like.
